🛞 semi-canon protagonist & original character, cyberpunk 2077. spoilers ahead, particularly for "the devil" ending + phantom liberty.🛞 tw: dystopia, capitalism, ableism, sexism, sex trafficking and sex work, dubious consent, health issues, emetophobia (though it can be removed or tagged). i tend to call volanté v, even if she’s not the protagonist of cyberpunk, so i don’t have to type out her accented name. my typical keyboard doesn’t have the numpad so copy pasting the specific accented letters everytime is a pain in the ass.🛞 v was born to young parents, who were both bakkers. her mother was a teenager and her father skipped town the minute he heard she was pregnant–deadass, yes, he left the entire clan and v’s mother to struggle on without him. but vol’s mother was a trooper, and she raised her daughter the best she could–unfortunately, though, she had no control on her genetics. v was born with a deficient pancreas and eventually developed diabetes in her teens, and then lost her sight. v's mom ended up leading the clan, and the bakkers ended up smugglers to survive.🛞 the good news was that she could still jack into her car and “see”, so to speak. she began smuggling with the help of her clan members to get into night city, where she got free treatment from viktor vektor and her first tech: prosthetic eyes and an internal insulin regulator.🛞 from there, it was downhill, and she ran up a charge with the ever generous vektor to receive medical treatment and eventually, make her a better smuggler. after v's mom got cancer and died, however, the bakkers were on their last leg. v was shortly kicked out of the bakkers because, frankly, they couldn’t keep affording her expensive treatments and prosthetics, and her "fuck you" attitude was affecting the rest of the clan. v, heartbroken, gave them all a huge special fuck you and decided she was going to be a night city kid. if asked, she'll lie about why she left the bakkers, claiming she hated the idea of merging with other clans--not untrue, but not the whole story. in her protagonist verses, this is where she met jackie wells and began the plot of cyberpunk 2077, leading up to “The Devil” ending and her finding a way to survive afterwards; in her companion verses, it’s plot dependent, but she did eventually end up in night city–though instead of a merc, she’s a famous driver and mechanic.🛞 a car enthusiast, techie, and hacker. terribly reckless in night city, prefers to drive in the badlands. netrunner + knife thrower. genderweird. money hungry. very defensive and sarcastic, paranoid, but not a bad person; mean like a beaten dog, not evil, and can be charmed or won over. prefers people who are blunt and honest, like her. the irony of her story is that she’s “burn corpo shit” until the corpos, aka arasaka, are the only ones who can help her–in her mechanic/driver verse, it’s the same, only she’s brought onto arasaka as an engineer and technical advisor instead of a mercenary, as in main verse.🛞 cybernetics include monowire hands + wrists, cybernetic kiroshi eyes, and a cybernetic insulin pump which keeps her blood sugar in check. that being said, she still has to manage her diet and eat regularly, and her diabetes means she gets weak easily and doesn’t have much in the way of health, thus, netrunning and knife throwing. she still eats like junk though, and misses her mother’s cooking while in night city.🛞 indigenous/mexican-coded nomad. formed a good relationship with jackie in her protagonist verse because of it, though she never joined the valentinos or any gang, due to what happened with the bakkers. depending on verse, can be hired as a mercenary/netrunner, or (if writing in a non-v verse) can be found in her garage in santo domingo, where you can either get your car fixed or find the one that got stolen…if it hasn’t been sold already.🛞 last updated: 5/7/2025.

💊 original character; street kid!v/npc, cyberpunk 2077. spoilers ahead for multiple endings + phantom liberty; can serve the role of "v" or as an npc character in v's story. tws in vincent's background and cyberpunk 2077 include: sexual assault/grooming, drug use and recovery, mental illness, dystopia, capitalism, ableism, sexism, sex trafficking and sex work, dubious consent, health issues, emetophobia (though it can be removed or tagged).💊 a street kid from heywood with a big mouth and bigger gun. known for being padre's right hand, sniping, jumping across rooftops, and general willingness to do most mercenary work. also, his big fat mouth that he can't seem to shut. enemy of both the valentinos and sixth street for refusing to join either gang; instead, his main gig is being padre's attack dog. directly responsible for the fixer's rise to his current untouchable status.💊 grew up among the other street kids in heywood and was mostly cared for by his community--his mother was friends' with jackie welles' mom, but the two refused to bond and wouldn't become friends until adulthood. like other young people in heywood, was mentored by padre and was doomed from the start to go nowhere--except a gang or a coffin. got into petty crime in his teens when his mom's addiction lead to her completely zonking out on him, and padre quickly became vincent's main source of stability. vincent's skill at merc work became instrumental in padre's following rise to power, but also meant that he never developed friends his age or formed normal, healthy relationships--instead, he became fixated on the security that sebastian offered him. and when vincent was eighteen, they got involved--or rather, vincent was groomed and didn't realize what was happening. he still doesn't.💊 the grooming and his rough home life would have their consequences: vincent became an addict before he could even legally drink, and would spiral out of control as the years progressed. disappeared from heywood when he burnt out and spiraled into rock bottom of his addiction--to cyberware, to drugs, to anything that would give him a high. was picked up by maxtac as a "cyberpsycho" during his death throes (though whether he actually was is up for debate). was considered missing for a while (and was doing maxtac's dirty work all the while) before maxtac dumped him in a gutter and left him for dead.💊 v was as unkillable as a cockroach, though, and crawled back to sebastian ibarra's doorstep in a haze. went to atlanta for rehab after the citizens of night city fund-raised for his treatment. supposedly cured now that he's back from rehab (though he's been known to relapse now and again). doesn't remember much of his time in addiction spiral or his time at maxtac and doesn't like to talk about it--least of all because he doesn't want to fall back into addiction. smoking, drinking, drugs, and even romantic entanglements are all danger spots for a potential relapse.💊 playful and truly sweet and sensitive in his heart, but hardened by the horrors he's seen due to his addiction. snarky as hell and very short-tempered. a gun enthusiast and can usually be spotted on a rooftop, spying on his loved ones (or a potential mark). wants to do the right thing but has terrible luck and shit always gets in his way. despite the visual snake & insect themes (snake eyes, snakebite piercings, bug tattoos), he's less a snake and more a golden retriever who's just too hard on himself/sees himself badly.💊 despite the availability and ease of cosmetic surgery, vincent is a trans guy without bottom surgery who prefers to use the many toys available in night city to do the job, if necessary. does not have top scars due to efficiency of night city surgery and the fact that he took puberty blockers as a child, thus lessening the need for surgical transition later in life. though he does have a tattooed "scar" across his chest for fun.💊 bi-flexual with a bit of preference for women. in an "open" romantic and sexual relationship with sebastian ibarra that keeps him from pursuing men for fear of the fixer's ire. women are off the table too, though, due to dysphoria. combined with sebastian's hot and cold attitude and tendency to freeze vincent out at random, v may as well be single. because of the gaslighting and manipulation he's experienced from sebastian over the years, he's unlikely to tell your muse about the relationship right away. their relationship is complicated, to say the least, but vincent can't see how unhealthy it is--and he feels obligated to sebastian after how much he's done for v.💊last updated: 5/8/2025.

sweet tempered, optimistic, but biased against devils due to their history. a touch too ambitious for their own good, as all devils can be, and has a shapechanger's extreme empathy (for better or worse). though she's poor at deception, she keeps her ancestry a secret, and is very avoidant of devils the tadcrew come across because of this--they may be inclined to give her away.🌷 julep is very much a girl next door type—they expect absolutely nothing from anyone and have severe self loathing from being the kicked dog of nessus for their entire life. he also doesn’t give himself any credit for craftiness, in escaping the hells or anything else. despite that, julep has a very good heart and is willing to see the best in others, to their detriment.🌷 the archfey master was the first to show julep any compassion, and julep has cleric-like devotion to them, approving of all things fey and disapproving of moving against them in any way, like not freeing the moon lantern pixie. he also receives the occasional visit from the devil “family”, including his father, who was intrigued by his child’s escape and occasionally appears to give advice and direction—both of which julep mostly ignores. whether asmodeus has noticed that one of his descendants is on the way to becoming a mindflayer (and whether he cares) is uncertain.🌷 in some iterations, julep might be considered a cambion, (half-devil half mortal). but due to sources which disagree on how closely descended a tiefling can be from their devil ancestor, i lean towards tiefling. also makes it less complicated in the character creator. julep has cambion and tiefling traits to combine the best of both worlds. i don't play d&d so anyone who wants to contribute an opinion on this is welcome, i've left it as sort of a "grey area" and most characters who don't know her ancestry would assume she's a tiefling.🌷 julep uses all pronouns!🌷 julep can be found working the bar at sharess' caress (pre-tadpole); along with the tadcrew during the plot of bg3; or in the deepest layer of the hells, having not escaped yet. julep has been to all nine hells on their escape, so they may have met your muse there as well.🌷 julep is okay at deception, but could be sussed out by a more perceptive or deceptive character; if your muse has high insight or some other reason, they may realize julep is lying about something, or notice she's cagey about devils.🌷 julep's burn mark + fey runes is something they're shy about and try to hide. it's something your muse might notice if they get close enough to julep, physically.🌷 your muse may also notice that julep seems to be listening to someone when she's inquiring with her archfey patron. if your muse is somewhat devilish or demonic aligned, julep's archfey may react with disgust, and julep might end up cagey about your muse at first. when julep hears or reads infernal language, they experience discomfort from their fey rune; like the other potential victims of the urge, julep is sweet, optimistic, etc. it's entirely possible and even expected that she might be the canary to your urge's cat. despite this, she's very supportive of dark urge being able to resist--whether she's correct or not is up to our plotting. it takes a lot for julep to give up on your muse or write them off as irredeemable.🌷 julep is a gretchen from goethe's faust archetype; 🏜️ semi-canon protagonist and original character, obsidian’s fallout: new vegas. tw: fallout relevant tags, including rape/sexual assault, violence, guns, self harm, the military industrial complex, and some others for this particular interpretation, including indigenous issues, racism/sexism, & more. kaj's given name is tsula and sometimes she's referred to that way in other verses, like baldur's gate.🏜️ welcome to the strip! sit down, have a drink, bet some caps, and try not to get knifed in the process. or shot down by overprotective securitrons. or pickpocketed. or accused of cannibalism. you know what, you might just wanna leave.🏜️ but before you do, meet kaj, aka “missus house” (as she’s been nicknamed by the vegas strip population), the one in charge of the mess—or at least, the one trying to be. with the mysterious mr. house dead at her hands, the legion & ncr crippled (again, at her hands), and half the factions in new vegas vying to cut each other’s throats (guess who’s responsible for that one, too), it’s not an easy job. then, neither’s being a courier; and with kaj pulling the strings, vegas is free to choose its own fate … somewhat.🏜️ kaj is a slippery eel to get your hands on. she’s been known to talk circles around both her enemies and her friends, and though she’s pretty easy to get along and shoot the shit with, she’s a negative six on the trustworthiness scale. worse than benny himself in terms of chronic betrayal, she’s totally willing to stab you in the back in the name of kaj and country (having managed to take down both the legion and the ncr from the inside). but it’s hard to remember all that when she’s batting her eyelashes and cranking out smiles for you. still, manage to earn kaj’s tenuous loyalty, and you’ve got it for life—or at least until you make plans to launch some nukes or commit genocide or something equally heinous. then all bets are off.🏜️ other than being a manipulative shit and a half decent leader, kaj is your average warlord/casanova/lady. she likes sex, cigars, alcohol, food, naps, flings with anything she finds half attractive, and a decent holotape, though not necessarily in that order. she’s also a pretty stereotypical hero for hire, willing to do most any job so long as it fits her moral code (and sometimes, not even then).🏜️ though she’s been known to be less than savory in the name of long term goals (read: the caesar ordeal that almost cost her every friend she’d managed to make, the whole ‘crucifying benny' thing) and has been known to make friends/love/war with some unusual folk (see: her inner circle, her body count), most who know kaj deep down would swear on her heart of gold and her ability to empathize with even the most despicable shits of bitches. walking even five feet with her, much less the entire mojave, guarantees you a whale of a time. and maybe a few bullet holes.🏜️ in short: wily and untrustworthy, but kaj’s got good intentions wider than the hoover dam. and a pretty nice face, to boot. just try to remember the wily and untrustworthy bit.

generally set after completion of the dlcs but before the battle of hoover dam. can also be set at any point during the game. kaj, aka courier six, is a mojave rose that’s gotten too good at concealing its thorns. charming those that fall for her and killing those that don’t, kaj knows her good-time gal days are over, and that it’s time for revenge. getting shot in the head (twice!) will do that to you. can generally be found do-gooding, fucking, and lying her way around the mojave desert, trouble always dogging persistently at her heels. despite her black widow heart, she really does want the best for the mojave–she just has a very specific vision for that “best”, and she’ll take out anyone who threatens it.

post-game.
having earned the heart of the mojave and the hatred of the ncr, legion, and many other groups who don’t agree with her “democratic” choices, kaj finds out ruling is not everything she wanted it to be—namely, that things are not fixed so easily as waving a securitron wand. though she still travels the mojave, most of her time is spent in the lucky 38 penthouse planning, organizing, and solving problems for the mojave, with the help of a small council of advisors she’s appointed from each of the big families in vegas. it’s a democracy, damn it, even if it walks, talks, and quacks otherwise.

fallout 4.
comfortably settled in her place as vegas’ top dog, kaj has spent the last five or so years delved into her research, using the information she gained from her travels & the divide to make great strides in the name of medicine—namely, a cure for the mysterious sickness that killed the original kaj so many years ago. when word spreads about a boy in the capital wasteland with the same illness & a potential cure hanging around in the commonwealth, kaj packs her things, grabs ed-e, and makes for massachusetts, using her courier determination to find the answers she seeks.

companion.
kaj, aka courier one, is still shot in the head by benny in his frantic search for the real platinum chip. rescued by a nearby followers camp and put into a medical coma, kaj awakens after several months to political turmoil. hearing about courier six and the hell they’re raising up, kaj sets out not only to seek her revenge, but get some fucking answers.**default verse for interaction with a fellow courier. in two to the skull, kaj will still vie to betray mr. house, manipulate caesar, throw out the ncr, and become the leader of the strip. if the courier passes enough speech checks and has high enough approval with her, she can come to compromise, leave the mojave entirely, give up her plans, or split power 50-50. the courier can also allow kaj to go through with her plans in their stead. however, kaj will almost always betray her fellow courier for the sake of her goals. kaj’s backstory is also pretty much the same, she just wasn’t chosen to carry the real platinum chip–very ironically, she was deceiving benny without even knowing it.

🔥 trigger warnings for fire themes, gangrape/sexual assault; fictional fantasy racism; woc fetishization; sexism; unhealthy dynamics; neglectful parents; infertility. a duo character with other warrior of lights and is rarely ever a solo wol, but can exist in a solo verse, as a scion companion, or alongside another warrior of light depending on your preference!🔥 SPOILERS UP TO DAWNTRAIL. spoilers will be tagged as "ffixv spoilers" and by expansion. while chiyo is technically the warrior of light/the protagonist, unless it's a solo verse, she takes a backseat to other warriors of light.🔥 the warrior of light, but more popularly referred to as “the bard of light”, while her fellow wol is usually called the warrior. chiyo doesn’t mind taking a backseat, however, and prefers that someone else is the more famous of the two. chiyo is known for her dignified manner, her bard skills, as well as her good looks + general promiscuity and friendliness post-heavensward. a very elegant doman lady with a foul mouth and a predisposition to violence.🔥 chiyo is a traumatized doman bard who traveled to the west and took up a contract to kill lord lolorito given to her by teledji adeledji—a contract that would forever change her life, as it put her in the path of thancred waters, who recruited her to the scions (albeit for selfish reasons). generally grumpy, distant, and cold, she was warmed eventually to the scions, and by heavensward, had lightened up considerably. by endwalker, chiyo went from a hard ass mercenary out for gil to a warm (albeit sarcastic) mother figure and playful hero.🔥 a blonde haired, green-eyed raen au’ra. classes include bard, dark knight, white mage, with secondary classes as dancer, samurai, reaper, red mage, & paladin. enjoys combat & the arts (dancing and singing as well as other artistic pursuits). depending on the point in the timeline, can either be withdrawn, snappy, and cold shouldered, or flirtatious, sarcastic, and gentle (post heavensward onward). somewhat critical and distrustful of men and garleans in particular, though she lightens up and becomes more flirtatious later on in the story (again, post heavensward).🔥 idealized her now deceased father and has a tough relationship with her mother & her younger brother, who she feels stole her parents from her with his birth. chiyo went from being her father’s heir and trained in the arts of the samurai, to a second thought in place of her baby brother. this was what eventually led to her running away from home and being assaulted by a group of garlean soldiers in kugane, permanently traumatizing her. her time in ishgard softened her significantly and by endwalker, she’s much more relaxed and silly. her personality is entirely dependent on timeline and verse.🔥 chiyo has some default relationships that i assume to be true if i’m not interacting with a writer of that character–for example, her plot with ifrit, where ungust sexually assaulted her; or her interaction with cait sith, which is generally squeeing and cooing. that being said, if i were writing alongside someone who wrote a character in her story, or if we plot something differently, then those things don’t apply.🔥 SPOILERS FOR SHADOWBRINGERS & ENDWALKER. regardless of whether she's a companion or a solo warrior of light, chiyo remains a shard of azem; after dying in one of her past lives, she was pulled from one of the other reflections some centuries back by hydaelyn, who then put her on the source in order to assist her fellow warrior of light. this is why she's rarely a solo-wol, as her job is to protect and guide her fellow azem shard. this is also why chiyo has various past lives on the source even alongside another wol (ie, tenzen from four lords, lucius yae galvus' mother, etc).

BIOGRAPHY.

chiyo was born in a garlean occupied monzen, doma, to suzume and koichi enishi. her mother, a shinobi, was arranged to be married to her father per his request, as a famed elderly samurai. he was much older than suzume, but kind, if not traditional and a little mischievous (traits chiyo inherited).chiyo was the star of their world when she was born; due to koichi’s age, it was assumed that she was to be their only child. she was a gracious lady from a young age, trained in music, dancing, manners, as well as garlean subjects like math, geography, etc. she was also trained as a samurai by her father’s old war friend. despite her skill in combat and her intelligence, chiyo was expected to follow in her mother’s footsteps to become a wife to a much older man–a role she despised the idea of. that role was only looming more strongly after her brother was born later in her teens, an accident and a blessed surprise. summarily, all attention went to him. as a result, chiyo became more rebellious, got romantically involved with a bard in namai and trained under him, and generally became a nuisance. though her mother took the blame from her father, and chiyo was rarely reprimanded, daddy’s girl that she was.one night, after a particular argument with her mother over her brother, chiyo packed her things, found her bard lover, and encouraged him to leave doma with her to travel the world–only to find that his stories of world travel and mystery were, in fact, lies to woo her into bed with. chiyo, barely an adult by this time, cursed him and everyone else, then fled the country with her harp and her dreams of becoming a travelling musician. before she could entirely escape the east, however, chiyo was stopped by a drunken group of garlean soldiers, who took turns raping her, robbed her of everything but her harp, and left her to die in kugane's streets.what faith chiyo had left in humanity had died by this point, and she fled to hingashi, where she used her samurai skills as well as the shinobi skills she’d learned from her mother to become an assassin. and a very effective one. she eventually went west on a job, and got caught up with the scions, then called the circle of knowing. she ended up helping the circle of knowing to try and stop bahamut–though due to lousioix’s intervention, when all else failed on the battlefield, she was one of the warriors of light sent five years into the future. all mention and knowledge of her was erased. unfortunately, so was all her development as a person, and she was reset back to the bitter, damaged young girl who had come fresh from hingashi.and thus, ARR begins with chiyo kanshi getting a new job as an assassin from an anonymous patron in ul'dah–get close to the syndicate and kill the lord lolorito. she begins her stint around ul'dah: busking for money and information regarding the syndicate as well as lord lolorito and the sultana.during ifrit arc, in her WOL verse and some others, chiyo is captured by ungust and sexually assaulted by him. this reignites her trauma, and she struggles with her fear of men and sex for a long time, until the completion of heavensward. in her wol verse, the ishgardian men who treat her with kindness are the ones who reignite her faith in humanity–nonetheless, being assaulted multiple times has left chiyo with scars that are very slow to heal, and she may be distrustful of your character if they’re male or a garlean, even if they’ve done nothing wrong.

can be set before the beginning of ARR, like before the five year timeskip, or up to ARR post-patch. chiyo is grumpy, serious, and withdrawn, though she's open to friendships with women more so than men or garleans.during arr, chiyo's services as an assassin have been anonymously purchased, and she's been tasked to kill lord lolorito of the syndicate. she spends her days performing and gathering intel on her mark; during this time, she catches the attention of thancred waters, who recruits her to the scions (despite her strong dislike of him). mayhem and mischief ensue, but by the end of arr, chiyo has given up on her mark and decided to embrace becoming a scion.by the end of arr, chiyo has brightened up considerably thanks to the scions. she's given up her job as a mercenary and picked up her samurai sword again, and has become a true scion of the seventh dawn. for the moment.

a plague sweeps through doma. a young, barely teenaged enishi chiyo is the only survivor in her household. legatus baelsar is sent to doma to quell the unrest and finds instead that young raen au’ra, pointing her samurai sword at his throat and protecting the corpses of her family. impressed by her gall, gaius takes her under his wing a la his werlyt charges/as well as cid and livia, and becomes her patron in the cutthroat garlean military.chiyo enishi-baelsar rises high in the garlean ranks, despite many efforts to stop her, and upon reaching adulthood is her pseudo-father’s proudest accomplishment. despite her efforts, she is left behind during the eorzean campaign, much to her ire–and eventual heartbreak when gaius “dies” in the praetorium. from then on, chiyo swears vengeance for the only family left to her, and begins to take pains to hunt down the warrior of light and collect their head. becomes an antagonist in stormblood and heavensward, alongside zenos, yotsuyu, and fordola.

ISHGARD AU.
spoilers for heavensward! things go the same up until haurchefant's death; chiyo remains illusive, withdrawn, grumpy due to her trauma, and haurchefant offers her the first kindness she's had in a while. very much romance novel vibes.simple and sweet divergence; haurchefant lives, however it's plotted, and him and chiyo get married and have a baby, because chiyo won't be an idiot who wastes any more time after he nearly died. haurchefant is legitimized by edmont and elected to ishgardian parliament; he becomes a fortemps, then he joins the hydaelyn gang. the three of them assist the scions when they can throughout the expansions.chiyo, for her part, is a mite too protective of her husband and child, but it's hard to blame her given her past. there's also the detail of the other men and women who want chiyo's heart, particularly thancred, who returns to the scions only to find his girlfriend literally married to a catholic guy.it's complicated.

LADY OF DOMA.
very mild spoilers for stormblood. general verse that follows wol!chiyo, can be set in any arc. by default, follows @windcovet’s hien, but open to plotting with others.chiyo as recruited by thancred but, for whatever reason plotted, serving as as regular scion. in stormblood, she comes along and helps liberate doma and ala mhigo.after, she marries the king of doma and her childhood friend, hien, officially retiring from scion work to instead assist him with ruling doma.though she’s deeply beloved by the doman people for her work as a scion and savior of the country, she’s disliked by the more traditional, misogynistic sects of doma for her blunt attitude; some even accuse her of ruling through hien or being a tyrant, though both are untrue. the two eventually have twin children named kaien and tsuyumi. can be done as an au with chiyo as the wol as well, if plotted.

with windcovet, but open to others with plotting! not historically accurate necessarily, just a fun crossover verse.the roman empire is fruitful under emperor solus galvus’ rule, and its’ riches are built on the backs of slaves. chiyo enishi is one such slave, captured from the far east and brought to rome alongside her fellow slave, j'tanga, by ungust. ungust tries to hawk chiyo at a market (or ceres, as he's renamed her) but instead meets the emperor's nephew, zenos (windcovet), who purchases both chiyo (ceres) and j'tanga (perses). the two must then learn to navigate roman high society and its' political intrigues, as well as zenos' odd moods and the strange emperor.

BALDUR'S GATE 3.
verse post. spoilers for the dark urge plotline!a zariel tiefling bard/fighter. the baldurian bard at court who operates as an assassin within the cult of bhaal. can be a companion for dark urge characters.born a noble lady to the enishi family, chiyo's family don't know that their daughter has fallen in with a murder cult instead of marriage. despite chiyo's involvement with the cult, chiyo doesn't worship, and only plays at being devoted; she merely wants to exact vengeance on the world that looked away when she was assaulted.tracked down the dark urge post-tadpole to keep an eye on them and joins the party after alfira's death; the nature of this surveillance (sinister or well-meaning), as well as whether chiyo will renounce her sins, is dependent on plotting.if not interacting with a dark urge: chiyo was romantically involved with faust (@windcovet) who was killed by his sibling. she seeks vengeance on the cult and his murderer and joins tadcrew in order to exact it. depending on verse, chiyo may have a tadpole, or she may have escaped baldur's gate before she could be infected.

CYBERPUNK 2077.
chiyo kanshi was once the daughter of suzume and koichi enishi, two corpos in the arasaka corporation’s endless ladder (and the former parent more enthusiastic than the latter). after running away and having her arasaka tech removed, she is now a celebrity in night city, famous for her lewd xbds and her subsequent musical career. she’s also a starving artist, and the mercenary work she does as a samurai with her young partner and roommate j’tanga pays the bills.

RWBY.
a mistrali assassin tasked with killing various mistrali politicians and daimyos across the continent. cold, withdrawn, and serious. a copy paste of chiyo's life in doma, but as if she had never left home and had pursued her career as a murderess there. may be a part of salem's group, a pawn to one of the bigger fish in the group, or an independent assassin being controlled by an unknown party--depending on plotting.

🪷 canon, ffxiv: stormblood. tw: sex trafficking, nonconsensual prostitution, sex worker slurs, rape, child abuse, csa, violence, torture. this page will contain spoilers for final fantasy xiv from stormblood onwards, but mainly stormblood’s main story and the post patch. yotsuyu was an abused child, a child bride, and was sex trafficked/forced to work as a prostitute. she's also in a toxic interaction with her "boss" in stormblood.🪷 yotsuyu is a secondary antagonist in stormblood and the imperial viceroy of doma. having grown up mistreated by every other doman in her life, yotsuyu happened into a lucky circumstance: meeting the garlean prince. after manipulating prince zenos into appointing her into the role, yotsuyu reigns over doma like a cruel queen from a story, happily torturing all who have spited her–and even those who have not. though her hatred isn’t unjustified, yotsuyu’s need for vengeance has consumed her, and at the same time, left her lonely and unsatisfied.🪷 tempestuous, full of rage, and deeply traumatized, yotsuyu was sold to a brothel as a young girl after her abusive husband died, and the trauma has never left her. as a result of this time, she puts on a cold exterior, and tends to manipulate men with surprising effectiveness–women, by contrast, she prefers, though the maids she torments in doma castle certainly don’t benefit from that preference. though yotsuyu is very much sapphic, with a strong preference for women, she involves herself with men as necessary, though she rarely derives any pleasure from it and would prefer not to be with them at all. while entanglements with men aren’t impossible for her, they’ll be a very slow burn and very painful for yotsuyu due to her history of being abused by them. she’s quick to distrust men and torture women, so all of her relationships are somewhat toxic no matter what, even in her redemption verse.🪷 yotsuyu is a very off-putting woman and her threads will likely be dark by nature, especially taking place during her time as viceroy or during her time “working” in the brothel. i’m very critical of her, as much as i love her, and her backstory explains her actions, but doesn’t excuse them.🪷 a note about her characterization. i don’t enable or excuse any of my villainous characters and that extends to yotsuyu. yes, her life was absolutely horrible. yes, it explains all that she’s done. i am an afab SA victim as well and i empathise with her. but i don’t think it’s okay nor am i unironically like, “she did nothing wrong”, because it fundamentally misunderstands yotsuyu’s character. i may say it in jest or humorously but i’m never serious. she had a chance to become good near the end of the stormblood post-patches and she CHOSE, repeatedly, to pursue vengeance over being morally correct. she was glad and happy about it. i incorporate this bitterness and the tragedy of her inability to let go of her past into her portrayal, as well as the way the traditions of doma crush its women under the wheel of misogyny and pain, and how lord hien clearly wants doma to be better.🪷 this is a pro-stormblood blog. i love the story, i love the characters, and i don’t treat yotsuyu like a sweet little uwu baby who did nothing wrong because it’s infantilizing a WOC and her agency and a beautiful, sad story. i think yotsuyu’s story was well written. if you’re someone who likes yotsuyu simply because she’s the light-skinned, “pretty” doman, while you hate hien for being a “dark skinned, more ethnic” doman, then i’m not interested in writing yotsuyu with you. that said, if you have complex feelings about stormblood, i’m always happy to hear them, i just won’t tolerate racism towards those characters.🪷 chiyo kanshi, my WOL & oc, is a parallel character to yotsuyu: a doman woman who suffered indignities, but who COULD and DID let go of the past, who had different opportunities and more privilege and the ability to do so, versus yotsuyu, who was born poor and wasn’t so lucky. i occasionally bring this up in their individual threads.🪷 character inspos include: o-ren iishi from kill bill; lady eboshi from princess mononoke; su daji from the poppy war.

tsuyu.
an au in which yotsuyu survives becoming tsukiyomi and lives her life similarly to ysayle, being able to transform into the primal with a large amount of aether. though she lost her bunny ears, her hair is permanently turned white from the experience. typically follows yotsuyu as a travelling companion to gosetsu.now going by “tsuyu”, is technically under parole by the doman government–that being, lord hien and lady chiyo, in her applicable verses (page here). gosetsu is her rather lenient parole officer, in a manner of speaking, and the two travel the world together. yotsuyu is a gentler person here, though still bitter and defensive; she’s learning from gosetsu, chiyo, and hien’s examples, but she’s not perfect. gosetsu is her priority and her dearest one, and it’s in repayment for his kindness that she does her best to behave “well”.

cyberpunk 2077.
a fixer who goes by the name of “sashihai”, yotsuyu is the widow of the previous fixer with such a name. after he disappeared under “mysterious” circumstances, she took his place and re-made the name, and now is a fixer in night city who takes no shit and tolerates no nonsense. serves as zenos galvus’ fixer as well as chiyo kanshi’s in her @windcovet verse, though she only tolerates skilled mercenaries, similar to rogue.

modern.
a japanese supermodel with a public reputation similar to naomi campbell–straightforward and taking no shit. having been exploited for her beauty by her family at a young age, yotsuyu is seen as both their moneymaker, but also as a slut for the work she does, especially the more provocative photos. it’s this hypocricy that pushes her away from her younger brother, mother, and father; despite being a celebrity, yotsuyu is unmarried and has rarely publically dated. instead, she keeps to herself, and lives a lonely existence surrounded by money and those who crave it.

🌃 canon with canon-compliant lore and headcanons, final fantasy xiv: shadowbringers. major xiv spoilers ahead! tw for colonialism, body horror, possession, and all other emet-selch relevant tags. the man's incredibly unwell and possibly the most unethical character in the story, so be warned. most interactions with him are going to be horrific on some level, though i can turn him down or up depending on your preference.🌃 mostly canon compliant, with extensive headcanons + lore that builds upon canon details. i frequently write him as solus and the majority of my character writing is focused on that part of his life, but am willing to write him in other aspects of his life as well.🌃 by the time that he's solus, emet-selch has become a lunatic. he's unable to grieve and carries the weight of all that happened to him constantly. as a result, he's abusive, unkind, and evil, all in the name of "the grand design" (though the justification is wearing rather thin after millennia). despite his descent into madness, he still cares for his loved ones on some level and wishes to look after them, even in his fucked up way. interactions with him as emet-selch or solus (and not hades or a modern iteration) will inevitably lead somewhere dark and unpleasant.🌃 his relationship with azem will always be plot dependent. by default: hades, hythlodaeus, and my iteration of azem were lovers, and hades/azem frequently had spats and arguments--though of course, it was all for fun, as rhetoric was a huge part of their society. the preference for a bit of verbal sparring with a partner still remains in him, even after all the years that have passed.🌃 regarding solus' sons: by default, emet-selch/solus had a mistress named cossutia, an azem shard (chiyo). their son, lucius, was born a bastard and also was an azem shard (j'tanga, @windcovet). solus doted on him and legitimized him, neglecting his second, legitimate son by the actual empress. eventually, cossutia found out that solus was an ascian, and it destroyed her mind--she committed suicide violently, despite solus' attempts to stop her. lucius' death shortly after sent solus spiraling over the edge and created the monstrous emperor that is described in the garlean histories. this default doesn't mean a ship won't happen, it just means that it won't happen without some sort of plotting and potential polyamory/relationship drama. i'm also down for au's.

🕊️ canon, berserk. manga and anime based with canon divergences. TW: major spoilers for berserk ahead. berserk is a dark, emotional, graphic story. be warned that griffith is a very dark and evil man, he’s the antagonist of the story and very much a villain. he does great harm in the story to those around him and i never make an effort to justify that harm or avoid holding him responsible for his actions, merely explain why he does it and admire his complexity as one of the most iconic villains of all time. i also have some divergences that aren’t explicit in text, ie, griffith’s intersexism, and his greater plan for guts. please be warned and blacklist his tag if necessary (“file : griffith.” with no quotations, which will have all the griffith related things in it).🕊️ the previous leader of the famous band of the hawk, a mercenary band who were knighted and raised to noble heights…until they mysteriously disappeared, never to be seen again. griffith is power hungry, beautiful, charismatic, and the only one to return from those mysterious circumstances. becomes the presumptive king of the “perfect utopia” he created called falconia, alongside his fiancee and princess of wyndham, charlotte. though it causes disquiet, he also became the “king”, so to speak, of demonkind, and forces to the two to live together in falconia–with a mixed bag of results.🕊️ griffith was born intersex, and it’s why he was abandoned as a child in wyndham, as he was seen as “deformed” or “a changeling.” he grew up in an orphanage in the poorer area of the city, and as a child, quickly learned that no one would look out for him or protect him except himself. with that in mind, griffith began the band of the hawk, his mercenary band, in his early teens. though they started out as a rowdy group of boys (plus casca), as time went on, they became one of the most famous mercenary bands to ever exist due to griffith’s intelligence and ruthlessness. along the way, he met guts, made him his second-in-command, and the two formed a close bond.🕊️ griffith’s femininity as a result of his intersexism has plagued him all his life, and though he may not recognize exactly what it is due to the medieval/fantasy setting, griffith fits the definition of a transmasculine man. he’s very closeted and very few people know the “truth”; given that he also prefers men romantically and sexually, griffith’s life hasn’t been the easiest, though that hasn’t stopped him from digging his teeth into life and forcing himself (and others) into awful situations for the sake of power. as learned during the eclipse, griffith will do anything, no matter how despicable, to achieve his dream: that of a perfect world, where no one suffers and the people are happy under his leadership.🕊️ regarding griffith and guts' relationship. if not interacting with another guts or with someone who i’ve plotted otherwise: griffith and guts became sexually involved as teenage boys and were “dating” by the time of the time skip, though neither of them characterize it that way and guts is in denial about being “gay”. griffith accepted that he was interested in men even before gennon, and is very forward-thinking about mlm relationships–though he knows he’s the minority on this topic. griffith is still very much in love with guts, despite everything, though he does care for his other love interests, like charlotte and locus. griffith can be interested in women, but he has a strong preference for men.🕊️ TW: SEXUAL ASSAULT. griffith, during what’s called “the eclipse”, sacrificed his mercenary band to the godhand + demonkind, and sexually assaulted his protegee and friend, casca, for reasons currently unbeknownst in canon. this assault caused her to unknowingly miscarry her child, who became a demon as a result, and guts (griffith’s second in command and friend) lost his arm and eye in the attempt to stop it.🕊️ re: the eclipse, betraying the band, etc: i have an in-depth headcanon and theory that griffith knew no one was going to get out of the eclipse alive if he rejected the godhand’s offer. on top of being manipulated by the godhand at the weakest moment of his life (as all apostles are), griffith had recently been tortured for an entire year, and was now permanently crippled and had been driven insane. thus, griffith did all that he did during the eclipse to spare who he could, that being who mattered the most for him: guts and casca. it’s very convenient that the two people who griffith loved made it out of the eclipse alive, if not permanently scarred. afterwards, griffith’s plan is to push guts to seek revenge and kill all apostles in his way, and eventually, use guts’ rage towards griffith to break open to gates of hell as well as wipe out demonkind for good…including himself. while my interpretation of griffith is still selfish, megolomaniacal, and did something absolutely unforgivable to casca, he justifies it to himself as doing what he thinks must needs to be done–of course, what a madman thinks needs to be done is questionable, but nonetheless, griffith is playing 4d chess with guts and casca still as his pawns, for better or worse. threads with griffith post eclipse will bring up this melancholic loneliness he’s experiencing, and the fact that it’s partially his own fault. furthermore, griffith wasn’t aware what the behelit would do nor did he purposely activate it, nor was he trying to manipulate casca and guts the entirety of their relationships. griffith loved and still loves the band, including gutsca, even if he succumbs to madness during the eclipse and makes horrible choices.

with windcovet, but open to others.an au in which griffith, for whatever reason, never activates the behelit and guts remains with him as he rises high in the world. after the death of her father, griffith and charlotte marry, and due to griffith’s intersexism, are unable to have children on their own. guts, griffith, and charlotte do ivf the old fashioned way and have children who are biologically guts’, unbeknownst to the greater public. these children become the kingdom’s heirs. the band of the hawk are all promoted to high positions (corkus becomes a lord, judeau and casca become generals who help fight off the kushan, etc) while guts and griffith continue to be together in secret. happy ending au, essentially.

cyberpunk 2077.
griff is still a mercenary who sacrificed his men for his own designs, but this time, it wasn’t entirely purposeful. griffith was taken hostage, and his mercenary band was captured during their rescue attempt. griffith was uploaded into the net by an unknown group of rogue ai called “the godhand”. when offered the choice to stay and gain limitless power, even at the expense of those he loved, griffith agreed, and thus was reborn as his ai counterpart while his men died to fuel the transfer. interactions can take place when griff is still part of the band of the hawk, a night city kid with big dreams; all the way up to his becoming part of the rogue ai group.

vaguely yuri on ice!-esque. griffith is a famous russian figure skater who, like many skaters, has been a victim of excessive and forced drug use, overexercise, and starvation. famous for his good looks and performances, the worst happens during his solo olympic routine, and he falls and fractures his leg on live television. permanently crippled by this and, worse, a committee drug test coming up positive during his recovery, griffith retires from figure skating…or rather, is banned, not even allowed to coach. can follow his life from the beginning of his career to his life as a disabled person.

modern.
griffith, along with the band of the hawk, is a stripper and sex worker in the modern united states. still equally as ambitious as his main verse counterpart, he’s currently having an affair with the owner of the club in order to get better opportunities for himself, and is generally one of the most popular dancers at his club, but he’s miserable and hates most of his customers.

🧚 canon, berserk. tw for mentions of rape that results in a child, child death and kidnapping. major spoilers for berserk ahead. rosine is an antagonist who does antagonistic things, but at the end of the day, she’s mostly an unfortunate, naive little girl who doesn’t understand the gravity of her situation and who was taken advantage of by the godhand.🧚 rosine is one of the apostles, a group of demons who were each transformed at the lowest point of their lives by mysterious eggs called “behelits”. rosine believes (and thus may convince your muse) that she’s not a demon, but in fact, has been transformed into a fairy queen. she and her fellow “fairies” are all kidnapped children who have been transformed into, essentially, her thralls.🧚 prior to being an apostle, rosine was a young girl and a child of rape, who was abused by her father and misunderstood by her fellow villagers–excluding her sole friend, jill, who she’s never forgotten even after becoming “the queen of the fairies”, as she calls it. after running away from home and being chased by her parents, who began to argue with each other, rosine was frightened and her behelit activated.🧚 her parents were sacrificed by the godhand in exchange for immortality, though rosine didn’t fully understand the ramifications of this choice. since then, her and her fellow “fairies” live in the misty valley, a safe haven that rosine has created and that she rules over with a playful, but iron, fist. her character is meant to parallel griffith, the main antagonist of the story, while jill represents guts, the protagonist.🧚 tomboyish even in her new life, rosine is an enthusiast for bugs and playing in the outdoors. she loves mythology, particularly that that involves whimsy, like stories of the fae who make fairy rings, leprechauns who leave coins beneath your pillow, vampires and werewolves who fall in love despite their nature, etc. she’s very petulant and childish, as befitting her nature, but due to what’s befallen her, she also can act years above her age–for example, she flirts with guts, a fully grown man, as she’s too young to realize that’s inappropriate; in another case, she has her thralls fight each other to the death in a game she calls “war”. rosine’s naivety was spoiled by her harsh upbringing, and even though she ran away to misty valley and pretends it never happened, the trauma has never left her–she just ignores it as best she can.🧚 rosine is a lesbian who is in love with her childhood friend, jill. she doesn’t respect men as she associates them all with the horror her father put into her life, and generally mocks them. nor does she really respect adult women, either, as she herself is still mentally a child. the only person rosine truly cares for selflessly is jill, and if she were to ever ship with another character, it would have to be another young girl like herself.

rosine’s main verse, where she is an apostle, aka, a demon, and self-proclaimed “queen of the fairies”. she lives in the misty valley, a perfect world of her own creation, and at night, her and her thralls go out and consume adults and steal their children to live in the valley. can also follow rosine as a young tomboyish girl before becoming an apostle, living in a small village with her abusive father and enabling mother.

plotted with @windcovet’s guts but open to others. rosine lives due to jill’s pleading with guts for her life, and accompanies guts in his search for griffith and path for vengeance, assisting him with information about the godhand and about femto. in a trade-off, rosine’s presence causes guts constant pain and he’s unable to sense demonic activity nearby—however, he benefits from rosine’s apostle form in combat as well as her insider information. she passes as a little girl in this verse in order to not draw attention, and doesn’t necessarily believe in guts’ cause: she’s mostly doing it for jill’s sake.

- extremely canon divergent depiction of viktor from arcane. follows season one then diverges for season two. very, very critical of the source material but will tag it by request. tw for chronic/terminal illness, in-depth discussions of being crippled/disabled (by a crippled person), body horror related to disability, ableism. i will not be nice about season two and the horrific way it portrays disabled queer people. i'm always open to well-meaning and thoughtful discussion about it and you don't have to feel the way i feel, as long as i'm not being pressured into following viktor's "canon" arc in s2.- i do not write viktor as asexual. making a visibly disabled, visibly unwell, "unattractive" character asexual is a very very harmful stereotype. viktor does have a complicated relationship with sex due to his disabilities--he doesn't have the energy to be on top for a long, extended period and can't do certain positions. he's somewhat insecure about his body as well. that said, he's willing to push his limits even though he shouldn't, depending on the situation. he also enjoys bdsm and kink.- viktor is primarily masculine-preference but is willing to get involved with a feminine person or a woman--he just doesn't notice when someone is making a pass at him, usually, and masculine flirting is a bit easier for him to notice due to how direct it is. he recognizes he's probably autistic in some way, but has never researched it or thought about it much.- my interpretation of viktor is a trans guy. he doesn't have bottom surgery and doesn't ever plan to. i won't write off the possibility but it would take an extensive thought out plot. he transitioned before leaving zaun and it's not known by anyone outside of trusted friends--of which, viktor has few, due to his unappealing personality and introverted nature. he's had casual sex with strangers, but they typically don't recognize him enough to put the pieces together. in zaun, it's more likely for him to be recognized due to his many good deeds for the people there.- after the end of season one, viktor becomes an ambulatory wheelchair/crutches user. he gets frustrated with the limitations of it and often will walk when he can't or shouldn't, and sucks at the physical therapy he's meant to be doing.- i love jayvik and meljayvik. but i'd prefer to plot it on a case by case basis and it doesn't always have to be romantic in nature. i write jayvik with @windcovet so you may see me mention that from time to time. by default, viktor does enjoy jayce and feel physical attraction to him, but whether that's returned is dependent on plotting.

- viktor's bodily changes are not evident while he's clothed, but the anomaly has nearly entirely consumed his bad leg and spreads more each time he over exerts himself. the anomaly can cause him pain and discomfort when it's displeased with him, and has its own personality/desires, but cannot control viktor's body or his mind--yet.
- as the anomaly grows stronger with viktor's lifeforce, it can drop off pieces of itself that can become fully functional. it can also take on the appearance of others. as a result, it's extremely likely that viktor becomes a scapegoat for the black rose plot at some point--though that's obviously plot dependent.

SEMBLANCE. according to the public, fortify. this semblance supposedly grants coco immunity to knockback and makes her immovable. in reality, fortify is a visual front that yatsuhashi and his earthbending semblance helps with–coco’s actual semblance is called suggestion, which means she can insert thoughts into people’s minds and push them towards certain decisions. this isn’t public knowledge outside of: ozpin & others with access to student files, team cfvy, & in hsp verse, salem’s circle. in hsp verse, suggestion (also called persuasion) takes an even darker turn, as with salem’s amplification and training, it becomes borderline mind control/telepathy. however, if exposed to suggestion too frequently (team cfvy, her other loved ones) or with mental fortitude (ozpin & salem) it loses its power. in that case, coco can still use it as a way of sending one-way messages to said immune person.
AURA. exceptionally high aura + regeneration. because of this, she’s rarely ill and recuperates from injuries pretty quickly.
ALIGNMENT. ozpin’s circle; even during atlas arc, coco never breaks away from him or stops trusting in him, to her detriment. in HSP, she becomes aligned with salem, but her health suffers greatly as a result.
WEAPONS. her handbag, bambam, which transforms into a gatling gun; post volume 4, her shotgun that transforms into a long chained clutch, espresso shot.APPEARANCE.
GENERAL. very pretty and attractive, though that comes from her gregarious and friendly personality as well as her natural good looks. typically sporting some kind of sunglasses as well as a hat; very stylishly (and sometimes inappropriately) dressed; smiley and flirtatious.
NOTABLE. her hair, which naturally ombres into an orange color on both sides; in modern verses, it’s dyed that way; her big brown eyes; her height, as she’s exceptionally tall for a woman; generally sporting a very fashionable or stylish outfit; her trademark sunglasses, which she eventually transitions to semi see through ones later in the story. she also tries to match her aesthetic to her current romantic partner or her alignment; in HSP, she takes on a very goth look, in mistral AU, she dresses very traditionally japanese to fit in, etc. if coco is dating your muse, as she becomes more invested in them, she’ll slowly start to change how she looks to compliment their style.

BUILD. slender to a concerning point due to her anorexia and her height, though her clothes cover it. busty in hips and breasts, which falsely gives her the opinion that she’s overweight. very conventionally attractive in terms of physical appearance. post joining up with qrow + rnjr in volume 4, she gains weight to a healthy degree; in hsp au, loses weight until she’s visibly sunken.
EYES. light brown & huge; very expressive. coco wears her glasses to hide them, as her eyes give away almost everything she’s thinking.
HAIR. brown wavy hair cropped short (about chin length; can be longer or shorter, depending on verse), with a long strand in a brown-orange ombre on both sides. hair can appear slightly red in certain lighting. shaved underarms/legs, trimmed pubic hair. thin, over plucked eyebrows that are mostly drawn on. hair grows out post v3 & v4 and stays about shoulder length with brown-orange ombre near the ends.
SKIN. noticeably pale due to atlesian heritage; avoids prolonged exposure to sunlight to maintain this look, and sunburns easily; very evident when she blushes. her hat doubles as a way to keep the sun off her scalp.

💥 semi-canon inspired original character, monty oum's rwby. previously @tadmean, tadmean-a and tadmean-aa. tw for abuse (sexual/physical/emotional); age gap/power imbalance relationships; eating disorders; untreated trauma. coco is based on coco adel and coco chanel (obligatory fuck nazis). coco has intense divergences from years of writing the character as my own thing. still, it’s worth mentioning to understand the base of the character, since coco fills a similar role in the narrative to her adel counterpart/shares things like a weapon, her team (also divergent ocs written alongside @windcovet), etc. due to the nature of her character, i won't write coco alongside team cfvy characters.💥 meet coco labelle–the nineteen year old heiress to labelle industries, the atlesian corporation that has fingers in every pie (think like disney). on top of that, she’s a world-famous huntress-in-training and owner of labelle designs, the fashion and cosmetic branch of labelle industries. coco, along with her team, is one of the previous winners of her freshman/sophomore year vytal festival, coco having gone solo in the final round. as well as being the leader of the widely beloved team cfvy, these things add up to a fearsome reputation for one miss labelle. whether it’s for her money; her trademark hat, sunglasses, & gatling gun; or her loud personality, coco makes a mark wherever she goes and has a very dedicated fan base (as well as several running commercials).💥 good at heart and very stylish and charismatic. seemingly confident and smiley, but privately moody; suffering from anger issues as well as intense vulnerability. coco struggles with academics despite her intelligence, due to dyslexia, adhd, and natural defiance. her extraordinary combat skills and mechanical know-how regarding her weapon (as well as her leadership skills and impeccable self-designed fashion) keep her in her prestigious school–and in everyone’s hearts. while at beacon, coco undergoes physical therapy with beacon’s specialized counselor as well as tutoring for her dyslexia, though she repeatedly refuses talk therapy or medication for her mental issues.💥 despite her fame, coco is not at all the “untouchable cool girl” that her celebrity persona suggests. she grew up in atlas being sex trafficked by her own father starting at age eight, and applied to signal to get away from the abuse. when she graduated signal and applied for beacon, she applied with no emergency contact and became the school’s responsibility–as a result, coco hasn’t gone home since she joined beacon, spending school breaks on campus or with one of her teammates' families. technically, she's under the charge of beacon academy. despite the distance from atlas while in vale, coco can’t let go of the trauma of what happened to her at such a young age, and it’s very evident once you get to know her: her messy personality, her strange quirks (like sleeping with the door locked or another person in her bed). most importantly, her famous promiscuity and flirtation, which gets more reckless in times of stress and often targets people who are far, far too old for her; coco has slept with a good portion of her fellow students, at beacon or otherwise, and has a reputation for it (positive and negative).💥 she also suffers from anorexia nervosa and personality disorders; beacon’s destruction meant the end of any healing coco was attempting to do, and depending on verse, coco only gets worse from there. due to her trauma, coco is also unusually devoted to headmaster ozpin, who she sees as her rescuer from her awful home life; her admiration and loyalty to him causes her problem after problem, especially post volume four when other characters start to criticize him–which is always done with the risk of coco’s ire. his “death” as well as the fall of beacon were heavily traumatic for her. combined with the separation of her team, coco was left spiraling out; post beacon's fall, she's become even more neurotic and vulnerable to manipulation as well as bad decisions.💥 RE: coco’s semblance. “suggestion” is exactly what it says on the tin–coco, at least in rwby and similar verses which include a “semblance” (a biologically assigned superpower, kind of), has the ability to place a desire into another’s head. though whether they act on it is determinant on coco’s skill at that point in the timeline, as well as the affected person's mental fortitude. for example: very strong, determined characters are far less likely to be susceptible to a suggestion than frailer, more submissive characters, and if one is exposed to suggestion for too long (over the period of several months to years), it becomes a way of coco simply putting thoughts in your head, as you become immune to the urge. essentially one way telepathy. coco can control “suggestion” more as the story goes on, starting out as something she’s not even aware she’s doing as a young girl and ending up able to suggest several people at a time as an adult. if you’re able to resist a suggestion from coco, it feels like a migraine that grows in intensity the longer you do so. coco will can get a migraine if she expends the effort for too long or suggestion is unsuccessful.that said, it’s entirely variable depending on the thread and the muse. we’ll make it work for us. i use it strictly for plot and with consent, not godmodding. it’s important to note that that’s not her “public” semblance in rwby, and only certain characters are aware of it (professor ozpin, beacon professors and others with access to student files, and salem in HSP; as well as those close to coco who she trusts to tell). people without this knowledge think her semblance is called "fortify", in which she has a higher defense, though this is simply due to her large amount of aura.

biography.

cordelia gabrielle labelle was born on a chilly atlas morning at the labelle estate to albert and jeanne labelle—the labelles being the second wealthiest family in atlas behind their rivalling schnees, despite being older money. likewise, cordelia was the second (and, per a previous discussion between albert and jeanne, the last) daughter to the family, and came nearly ten years after the birth of her older sister and heiress, antoinette. her mother had miscarried coco’s brother before coco’s birth, and her parents decided to try one more time, then settle for what they had. more afterthought than child, cordelia spent most of her early childhood in a cocoon of various nannies and tutors, who took turns between fussing over her well being and teaching her the ins and outs of her parents’ high society lifestyle, which she would be presented into at the appropriate age.though she rarely saw her parents in the flurry of her life, antoinette (fondly nicknamed “netta” by cordelia) was a constant, always making time for the little sister she couldn’t help but adore, the one light in her life of darkness and political maneuvers. it was from her sister that coco earned her infamous nickname (taking pity on her after having spent years herself learning to properly spell antoinette)—and though their parents disapproved of a nickname as casual as coco, it charmed so many that the nickname stuck for life.at the age of five, cordelia “coco” labelle was properly presented to the upper class circles the labelle family traveled in—and immediately became the star. a pro at nodding, smiling, and saying the right thing despite her young age, any missteps or sassy remarks were laughingly brushed off, and coco quickly became the darling of her family’s diplomatic circles.however, the golden years were quick to pass. on an outing into town, antoinette ran into a small travelling group of performers and quickly took up with their leader; a year later, the two were married. when antoinette brought the news to their parents, she was immediately disinherited and banned from the estate (her family would later take out several restraining orders, so she wouldn’t get any ideas about visiting coco or her old friends). thus, coco, once the spare, became the last remaining daughter and the heiress to the labelle fortune at eight years old.now tasked with learning everything antoinette had spent her entire life practicing, coco also learned just why antoinette was so miserable: not only was she dealing with albert’s physical and verbal abuse, she was also dealing with various sexual abuse from her father’s colleagues at his behest—in return for taking advantage of his daughter, albert gained political favors, money, and so on from the men (and occasionally women) who used her, as well as blackmail if any of them decided to rescind their favor. and coco, now the eldest, was left to fill the role that antoinette had once staunchly protected her from.once a bright and bubbly girl, coco quickly shifted into a bitter shell of herself—those who knew about her father’s arrangements could only help in small ways, and those that didn’t know were shocked by the change. filled with unexpressed rage, one of the house guards took pity on her, arranging for her to train in combat during her free hours with some of the other willing guards, as a way to express her anger. though her father was quick to end the sessions once he discovered them, by then it was too late: coco had found her passion, and was determined to pursue it.later applying for signal academy, coco passed her entrance test with flying colors, and left home after a few cold goodbyes from her family, who approved of her attending due to the publicity but knew that, should something happen to coco, they were without an heir. her parents, hands tied, could only watch as their last heiress disappeared into the sky. while they seethed in private, in public, they were forced to be all smiles for the press, coco having spread the news of her acceptance as far across worldwide media as she could reach.thus was the beginning of her career, and the rebranding of her name. once cordelia labelle, the reclusive labelle heiress, she quickly became coco labelle, world renowned fighter. with her success on the battlefield as well as her fierce charisma, coco enjoyed the best of both worlds, with a steady income from her family as well as her career of choice and, most importantly, life away from the labelle manor. though most students were daunted by what the school asked of them, coco remained unimpressed—she’d seen far scarier before she was even ten.but all was not to stay wonderful. after beacon’s fall, coco’s stay at beacon was abruptly ended, and she was split from her friends and lovers, forced to return home by her parents, who desperately wanted to play the role of concern. coco would flee from her home shortly after, and as of now, coco is considered “missing” by her family; set anywhere from coco’s childhood to her first year at beacon. mostly for drabble and fun ask game purposes about coco’s early life. the last remaining labelle heiress after her sister’s sudden exile, cordelia “coco” labelle is thrust into several spotlights all at once: that of her family, society, and, once she makes her name as a fearless fighter, remnant. though her family disapproves of her choice in career path, they allow her to attend beacon in the hopes that she’ll eventually grow too bored or too frightened to continue her education—and, of course, for the publicity of it all.

the skilled apprentice of the veteran hunter djura, coco is the more mobile of the two; while djura keeps a guard at the top of the old clocktower, coco keeps on the move, looking for survivors and offering a helping hand wherever she can. her weapon of choice is a large, mobile gatling gun that can be folded down into a melee weapon to suit close quarters combat; however, coco’s abilities are best suited to crowd control rather than precision. she’s also fiercely protective of djura and, by extension, the beasts of yharnam, only killing where necessary—while she normally wouldn’t consider herself a pacifist in any sense of the word, it at least keeps djura happy.

a riff off of coco’s modern verse; like her main/modern, coco is the daughter of two very wealthy corpo rats who will use any advantage to their own gain–including their own daughter. installed with a braindance chip at a young age by her father, coco is forced to have sex with those who could benefit her father in some way–the encounter is recorded, and her father uses it as blackmail/a way of gathering information. this has created a gap between coco and all those she’d like to be intimate with, very aware that every one is subject to her father’s scrutiny when she reports back to him. as in her main verse, she’s stubborn, fiery, flirtatious, and deeply traumatized, with a very big gun and a preference for taking on merc jobs despite her corpo rat origins. she’s also incredibly wealthy and famous, very much an it girl; coco is the star of many night city billboards and commercials, and recognizing her from one of them isn’t impossible.

an ishgardian elezen and the bastard child of albert labelle, one of the noble houses of ishgard. albert has no legitimate children, but still mistreats coco due to his own hubris. he's been known to traffick her to highborn ishgardian men in exchange for favors or blackmail. combined with how society sees her, coco has become a well-known rebel, unburdened by the requirements of nobility yet allowed to move within highborn circles.she's disliked by traditionalists and admired by those with more flexibility, like aymeric, lucia, and haurchefant. her patronage and jaw dropping amount of gil is also one of the main contributors to the machinist's guild.coco's father is hoping she'll fuck up and accidentally reproduce before he does, sparing him the trouble of finding a new mistress or wife. despite his many flaws and the horrors he's inflicted on her, albert is very modern-thinking: he plans to legitimize coco one day and let his line pass on through her, because he'll be damned if it goes to his idiot brothers.

the daughter of albert labelle (ceo of labelle industries) coco is a worldwide celebrity that rivals the biggest stars. her daytime persona is amicable enough, if not slightly scandalous: a wealthy girl who stars in sultry commercials at the behest of her father. coco was also part of a european military school scandal in her teenage years, which ended in multiple arrests and coco being sent back to her father. after that, coco skipped anymore education and went straight into business as her father's heir and the creator of labelle designs. publicly, she's known for her cutting remarks and her fashion brand, her charismatic, blunt personality and good looks, as well as her slew of boyfriends and girlfriends who rarely last more than a night.but her nighttime persona is far less glamorous: coco is the head of a crime ring which steals weaponry (among other things) from her father's warehouses and sells them under the table, cutting her own profit. on top of that, she's dipped her toes into the mercenary business, mostly for a thrill, slightly to spite her family, who have no idea what their modern princess does on the side. with a big gun and a big mouth, coco lives to balance the day and night versions of herself, while also grappling with the trauma of her horrific abusive childhood and her time in military school.

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR RWBY VOLUME 3 AND ONWARDS.🕰️ the mysterious and strange headmaster of beacon. considered “quirky” by some and downright irresponsible and reckless by others, ozpin is playing an invisible chess game that few are aware even exists, and even fewer can see. it’s not helped that he has a friendly (if slightly offputting) demeanor, and tends to choose favorites among his huntsman and huntress students. almost always accompanied by his second in command, glynda, and a steaming cup of hot chocolate.🕰️ oz is extremely canon divergent. while i like the background they’ve given oz re: ozma and salem, i’ve changed a couple elements to make the story more cohesive and stay truer to ozpin’s character as presented to us.for one, ambrose ozpin–that is, the headmaster we meet in the beginning of the show–doesn’t share his body with anyone. while he did so for milennia, as the king of vale (his former reincarnation before becoming ambrose) he had the resources + residual magic to “cheat” the curse, as it were, and build himself a vessel to inhabit after his next death. he did this in the hope to spare any other like minded souls from having to give up their autonomy + to simplify his fight with salem, and didn’t expect to die again after inhabiting his vessel.of course, he still did, and ended up inhabiting oscar as a vessel, a failure he deeply regrets. part of the goal in the main plot is for ozpin to return to his body before it’s too late–both for oscar and himself.🕰️ “why go to all the lore changes just so ozpin can have his own body during the beacon arc, randie?” well i kind of hate the idea that professor ozpin (that is, the person ozma shared a body with) was never really developed as a character. it feels like a waste. also, it avoids any ship ickiness with oz’s partners and is a more simplistic narrative, + increases the tension with the ozcar plot as they continue to merge. also the ozcar plot is just unfair to both oz and oscar and neither of them deserve to share a body forever, in my humble onion. at the very least, oscar doesn’t deserve that kind of punishment, even if ozpin might. i don’t dislike the concept, but the idea that oscar will be stuck with oz forever is not my cup of tea. i refer to oz as ozpin, because that's his "chosen name" and ozma is sort of a dead name. it's also helpful for clarity.🕰️ i don’t write romantic ozcar or ozpin as participating in physical romance with others as long as he’s inhabiting oscar’s body. ozpin keeps a mental shield up for oscar for several things–sex and romance included. this doesn’t mean ozpin can’t be shipped, it merely means ozpin probably won’t interact sexually or romantically with your character until returned to his primary body, however we plot that happening.

NAME. was born and immediately abandoned at an orphanage; as a result, cinder was given a “placeholder” name that was later changed/forgotten when she was sold into slavery in her early teens. until she rebelled and killed her enslavers, cinder was nameless and was typically referred to as “girl”. currently goes by cinder fall as her “legal” name, a name she chose for herself.

BUILD. pre-rwby, was exceptionally slender due to starvation–even after meeting salem (volumes 1-3), kept herself thin in order to seduce and appear attractive. post volume 3, cinder no longer feels she passes as “pretty” and gains some weight, becoming less scarily thin and more stereotypically “average” and curvier in terms of body type. she doesn’t realize this made her more beautiful, not less.

🔥 canon with heavy divergence, rwby. tw: major character death, slavery, child trafficking, murder, child abuse.🔥 extremely canon divergent. i dislike the way the show handles cinder, especially with regards to her disability and her past, and will be doing my own thing with her.🔥 salem’s “right hand” and the secondary antagonist of rwby. manipulative, conniving, violent, and impulsive, cinder is a maiden and not to be trifled with–though that’s difficult to avoid, given her natural defensiveness and the way she pushes away anyone who would try to get close.🔥 while in the show, cinder was born in mistral and became an indentured servant in atlas, my version of cinder is different: she was born in western mistral and never left until she joined up with salem. as an infant, she was abandoned at an orphanage by parents she never knew. in her early teens, she was sold out of the orphanage as a slave to a mistrali family which, similar to the show, abused and mistreated her. after years of abuse and enslavement, cinder later chose to kill the family and escape. her plot with rhodes remains unchanged, and eventually ends the way it does in the show.🔥 cinder is heavily autistic and extremely mentally ill. though it’s not an excuse for the way she behaves, it’s an explanation: she has no family structures, no one to model “good behavior” for her, and she feels personally betrayed by every powerful person in her life (rhodes, her mistrali owners, salem). cinder thinks the only one she can trust is herself, that kindness is weakness, and it’s a matter of time before she’s hurt by someone (and thus she aims to hurt and discard them first). her autism makes her struggle with relationships, and she does better in formal settings, but she’s not heartless and doesn’t necessarily revel in murder or hurting others—merely what she views as “winning”. any relationship with her, especially romantic bonds, will take a lot of time and effort.🔥 while i don’t mind shipping cinder, as above, time and effort would be required for her to see anyone romantically. she’s also sexually stunted and terrified of sex due to her past history with slavery, though she presents herself as somewhat of a false femme fatale in v1-v3 in order to get what she wants. by default, unless interacting with a different ship partner, i usually write cinder as involved with spicy gelato (cinder/roman/neo) with @windcovet. i’m open to other ships, it will just be a slow burn. cinder is not a character who would have a one night stand with someone she doesn’t know.

🦿 canon with divergences, rwby. tw: child abuse (physical/sexual/verbal); gender dysphoria and confusion; loss of limbs; discussions of amputation and disability.🦿 one of cinder fall’s henchmen and member of salem’s circle, though only by technicality. mercury was recruited by cinder fall directly after killing his abusive father. cinder, who had come looking for the famous assassin, marcus black, instead left with his killer and son in tow instead. in a twisted sense of fate, cinder’s recruitment is what saved mercury’s life–his father had driven nails through his knees to try and keep him from escaping, and the nerves were too damaged to repair. after joining salem's crew, merc lost everything below the knee. i headcanon arthur watts constructed his prosthetics, but that can be dependent on who i'm plotting with.🦿 everything you could expect out of an early twenties boy, who grew up sheltered and abused by a father with little to no morality. mercury has never had a role model and thus is snarky, immature, takes nothing seriously, and is mainly focused on chasing girls, video games, and surviving comfortably–whatever it takes. though he isn’t all bad–mercury has a heart every now and then, but only for people who manage to get close to him and overlook his fuckboy exterior, and that is by no means easy. nor is he willing to trust many to even try.🦿 was abused by his father in every sense of the word and it's permanently stunted him. he doesn't like to talk about it, but might with someone he really, really trusts.🦿 not stupid, but didn’t have the luxury of school, education, or the good role model a teacher would’ve provided, and it shows in some of his thought processes.🦿 bisexual and genderfluid and has no idea about any of it. sure, he admires a guy’s abs every now and then, and he has weird feelings about being a guy and wouldn’t mind having been born a girl…but to him, everyone feels that way. mercury is so chasing-girls-focused that he hasn’t thought about the alternative–that is, being one, or being interested in something else other than girls. merc also feels deep shame about his dysphoria, as he worries that it came from his father's sexual abuse and that something is wrong with him. he is accepting of his preference for tomboy action girls, though.🦿 while i’m not opposed to shipping him, mercury is very damaged and has problematic thought processes. if your muse is a girl/afab, it’s way more likely mercury is going to have a one night stand with your muse and never call them again. if your muse is a guy, he’ll have some very complicated feelings about it and will be way less likely to have casual sex with them. to avoid either of these paths, we’d need a deeper plot.

mercury as a cyber solo assassin working for a mysterious organization that’s been taking out influential people. ruthless, efficient, yet somewhat a little lazy and short-sighted, mercury himself is a dead end who knows very little about the people who he’s working for–it could be arasaka, for all he cares. it pays for his middlingly sized apartment and his food and that’s all he gives a shit about, frankly.

🪶 canon with divergences, rwby. tw: alcoholism and addiction, age gap relationships, unhealthy relationships, child neglect and abuse, infidelity.🪶 joined beacon as a young adult posing as a teenager. qrow and raven's task from their tribe was to kill ozpin. qrow ended up swayed into ozpin's circle, while raven eventually left and returned to the branwen tribe due to ozpin's dishonesty. after qrow graduated, he was inducted into the inner circle and informed about the true nature of ozpin's life--at least, part of it. due to his awful home life within the tribe and having no family, qrow was one of the many who desperately clung to the headmaster of beacon for stability and purpose, and spiraled out of control upon losing it in volume 6, though he's beginning to get his life together as the volumes continue.🪶 a recovering alcoholic by the later volumes and suffers from major depressive disorder. qrow was a partier at beacon, and that college-like need to always be a little tipsy has carried over into his adulthood. is also a bit of a playboy and always willing to have casual sex with people of any gender, which can get him into trouble. despite this, he's an incredibly hard worker and talented huntsman. team strq are one of the few teams who won both of their vytal festivals, and qrow wears his winner's rings with pride.🪶 was always in love with summer rose. things simply never grew to fruition beyond brief sexual encounters, especially given qrow's involvement with ozpin (the nature of which depends on plotting, but generally leans towards hero-worship romantic).🪶 huntsman and member of ozpin's inner circle as well as the eyes in the sky, so to speak. qrow's primary job in intel and intelligence gathering, and he's spent most of his huntsman career since strq's disbanding doing that; combined with his magical ability to turn into a literal qrow, he's an expert in gathering information and stealth. the con of this is that he's often away from his family, but up until the fall of beacon, what ozpin said was law. in volume 6, they're undergoing a break from each other.🪶 i default to qrow being ruby's dad. while we can plot different circumstances, by default, qrow and summer had a one night stand that resulted in ruby, and qrow remains unaware of ruby's parentage. whether anyone else knew is up to our plotting.
